Hey... Good evening everyone..!!
Today, a bit busy... I have class from morning till evening.
However, it will not stopping me to share with you guys my best moment of the week.
Meeting my friends (BFF) today was the best thing ever happened to me besides waiting for for the class is over.... haha..
We have planned (a month ago) to bring some foods and I choose to bring a chocolate cake.
We were very happy taking pictures, sharing our stories, planning our itinerary for our next trip next year and eating non-stop. Like everybody did...
From our mini potluck party, I have this idea to share 6 top ideas for potluck party.
1. Cake (any easy cake to bake, just bake it and bring it)
2. Fruits (easiest till not even have to think. My friend brought rock melon & watermelon)
3. Sandwiches (mouth bite or normal size doesn't matter)
4. Pastas (easiest would be aglio olio, bolognese- will share the recipe soon: stay tune!)
5. Fried noodles (there are many types and go ahead choose your preference)
6. Sambal ikan bilis (this is our preference) - you can have it with bread, rice etc.
Okay, above are the 6 ideas that I believe the simpler and easier foods to prepare especially for Potluck Party. If you have any ideas, which are much more simpler, to make for the Potluck Party, feel free to share in the comment below.
So, I've asked for the "Sambal Ikan Bilis" recipe from my friend, because this is the one that opened our appetite right away before we can start eating other foods.
Let's take a look the ingredients:
1 large onion
3 clove garlic
1 handful of chilies (small size)
1 handful of anchovies (readily cleaned and opened)
Preparation:
Blend all above ingredients but blend separately the anchovies from the other ingredients.
Stir-fry item 1 to 3 first. After you can smell the fragrance, add the blended anchovies together until its cooked.
Don't cook it until its dry but let it cook with juicy consistency.
I know some of you will be very please to see other pics of our potluck today.
Here you go!
